Mass Removals Lead to a Forever Home

posted in: Success Stories | 0

Katie came into the shelter as a stray, with masses all over her body—the most noticeable one was a golf-ball sized mass on the top of her head. Despite this, anyone who saw Katie said she has the most adorable grin, loves catching sunbeams throughout the day, and actually smiles when she sleeps. The Friends covered the cost of her surgery, which was nearly $1,000, and the shelter vet did an amazing job removing her masses.

Despite her ongoing medical needs, Katie found her forever family on June 20, during the shelter’s Furassic World event. The event, also funded by the Friends, was a win-win situation: Katie got a new family and her new family got a discounted adoption rate. We just love happy endings … or should we say, happy beginnings?!
