Lake Accotink 6K to Benefit Friends

Registration is now OPEN for the 2019 Lake Accotink 6K. The April 28 run/walk (formerly known as Break a Sweat for a Homeless Pet) is once again hosted by Metro Run & Walk. The course take participants around scenic Lake Accotink in Springfield, Va. The event starts at 9 a.m. Dogs are welcome!

This year’s event benefits three organizations: Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, Friends of Lake Accotink Park, and Trails for Youth. You have the ability to choose which organization(s) receive the donation portion of your registration.

Registration is capped at 350, two-legged participants. So register today to participate or volunteer. We look forward to seeing you on the trail!
